24 May 2020
The Polish Radio logo is seen in Warsaw, Poland on May 22, 2020. People protested in front of the Polish Radio 3 against censorship that took place after a song, released by Kult band frontman Kazik Staszewski, has been removed from the influential Fridays hit chart. Kaziks song "Twoj bol jest lepszy niz moj" (Your pain is better than my pain) is seen as a criticism of Jaroslaw Kaczynski, leader of the ruling party Law & Justice (PiS) even though his name doesn't appear in the lyrics of the song. Kazik wrote the song after Kaczynski appeared at the commemorative event of the Smolensk plane crash on April 10, 2020 and after he has visited his mothers grave despite the cemeteries were closed to the public due to the lockdown.
