A protestor carries a sign depicting Ayatollah Khomeini as a pig as 350,000 Canadians take part in a protest against the Islamic Republic of Iran in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on February 14, 2026. The protest is one of the largest ever in Toronto and is part of a Global Day of Action coinciding with other similar protests in major cities around the world. Protesters drape themselves in red, white, and green flags emblazoned with a golden lion and sun, the flag Iran used before the Islamic Republic came to power in 1979. The rally responds to a call by exiled Iranian crown prince Reza Pahlavi to show solidarity with anti-government demonstrators in Iran and support a national uprising of the Iranian people. Protesters call for a regime change and for power in Iran to be returned to Reza Pahlavi, the former exiled Crown Prince of Iran and the last heir apparent to the defunct throne of the Imperial State of Iran.
