A vehicle covered with volcanic ash in Talisay, in the province of Batangas on 16 January 2020. Taal volcano slighly waned its activity on Thursday, in the fifth day of eruption, but the risk of a hazarous lava eruption remains, according the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs). Around 70.000 people are evacuated in Batangas and Cavite provinces because it's still not safe to be within the 14-kilometer danger zone around Taal. Several hundreds of them were able to return home for a few hours to pack some clothes, clean the roofs cover in ashes, rescue their pets and feed the animals. Some of them saw how their houses were seriously damaged by the numerous earthquakes triggered by the volcanic eruption.
