Tamil Hindu devotee adorns the forehead of her husband while reenacting their kalyanam (marriage) during special prayers honouring Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati celebrating the Siva Parvathi Kalyanotsavam Festival (Shiva Parvathi Kalyana Utsavam Festival) at a Tamil Hindu temple in Ontario, Canada, on April 9, 2017. During this festival devotees re-enact the marriage ceremony between Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. A marriage ceremony for Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati is held in the temple during which married devotees also reaffirm their marriage vows to one another.
