Worshippers offer prayers after the sacrifice of a chicken at the ancient Bhairab Nath Temple (Bhairav Nath Temple) at Taumadhi Square in the historic city of Bhaktapur in Nepal. The Bhairab Nath Temple was constructed around the year 1542 AD by King Jagat Jyoti Malla on a modest scale. It was later remodeled by King Bhupatindra Malla into what it is now a three-storied temple. This temple is dedicated to Lord Bhairab, the dreadful aspect of Lord Shiva.
