The Yonshi is formally raised on Bhadra 19 as per the Nepali calendar at 10:31 AM, after which the eight-day-long Indra Jatra festival officially starts, honoring Indra, the King of Heaven and Lord of Rains. The ceremonial pulling begins at 9:52 AM from the temporary site at Bhotahiti.
