The Ruvo di Puglia illuminations on 12 December 2019. They were created by the citizens of Bari, during a series of workshops where they were guided by designers, craftsmen, makers and masters of papier-mache together with local schools and associations. The 2019 edition is titled Genius lights and is a tribute to the research method of the genius Leonardo da Vinci in the 500 years since his death, to the playful approach of his greatest heir of the 900, the Italian designer Bruno Munari.
