U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ) joined with the North Jersey community and the family of Darren Drake who was killed in the 2017 NYC West Side Highway terrorist truck attack. U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer commemorated Darren Drake's life, honored the work of those at the Darren Drake Foundation and highlighted the bipartisan Darren Drake Act that was signed into law in 2022 to help combat lone-wolf terror.

As the Russian Federation invaded Ukraine, the conflict is expected to force up to 5 million Ukrainians to flee the country. Many of the refugees seek asylum in Poland. Most charitable help in Poland is provided by individuals, NGOs and businesses. U-Work started humanitarian help immediately after the invasion, the organization was able to open a humanitarian help centre in PSL - one of political parties' offices, the organization receives support from both local and international sponsors.
