A sculpture stands in a square in the border city of Zahedan, near Iran's eastern border with Afghanistan, in Sistan and Baluchistan Province, 1,486 km (924 miles) east of Tehran, Iran, on December 18, 2025. Under Iran's Ministry of Interior regulations, Sistan and Baluchistan Province is a restricted area for foreign nationals, including Afghan migrants and refugees. Residence, work, and long-term stay are prohibited, with exceptions only for tourism or investment on valid visas.
