The geologists, Adonara E Mucek, Martin Danisik, Shanaka L de Silva, Axel K Schmitt, Indyo Pratomo, and Matthew A Coble via the Nature Communications on 2017 released a researches about the post-super eruption in the Toba Caldera which found geochemical similarities zircon with the Sinabung volcano eruption materials as the most active stratovolcano in the North of Toba.

Sinabung volcano that burned villages abandoned the impact of the recent eruption, as seen from the village of Berastepu, North Sumatra, Indonesia on June 28, 2015. Mount Sinabung, has been active for the past two weeks with the activity of volcano is in the alert level the highest since June 2, 2015, to spew gas and ash into the sky. This is a concern for many locals in the surrounding area, who depend on land for their livelihood. Although the spate of recent volcanic activity does not cause these injuries whatsoever, but the 10,000 villages nearby have been evacuated.
