Locals gathered at the Temple of Sam Poo Kong in Semarang City to held the rituals of "Cie Swak". District of Bancak-Semarang Regency-Central Java-Indonesia, February 15th. Some of farmers harvesting corn in Plumutan village, District of Bancak, Semarang Regency, Central Java, Indonesia on February 15th, 2016. Although the price of corn for fodder on the market increased, reaching IDR 7,500 Rupiahs / Kgs ($ 0.56 USD) , but they haven't been able to enjoy these price. They still sell to collectors for IDR 4000 Rupiahs / Kgs ($ 0.30 USD). This condition certainly very detrimental to farmers in rural village, they can't reach prosperity. Quoted from local media as a researcher of agriculture in Indonesia, the data from Andreas Dwi Santoso one of The Master professor at the Faculty of Agriculture, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), statistic in 2015 from 28,55 million poverty people in Indonesia 62,8 % they are farmers, and 49,5 % of Javanese farmers in Java Island they don't have lands. Needed a serious policy of the Indonesian government that make farmers can achieve prosperity in their own land.
