Units conducted checks of numerous transformers but found no evidence of damage. The situation changed at approximately 6:08 AM when a White Plains police officer observed what appeared to be a small explosive device near the doorway of an apartment building at 11 Odell Avenue. Additional units responded to establish a perimeter, and residents in the vicinity were instructed to shelter in place as a precautionary measure. The device was successfully secured. Two people of interest are currently detained in the investigation.

The crime originally occurs in the vicinity of 1023 Ward Avenue, within the confines of the 43 Precinct in Bronx, New York. Police officers are informed that a 27-year-old man has his vehicle forcefully removed. The investigation determines that James Hendrickson is alleged to have committed the crime. The FBI and NYPD locate him and apprehend him on the highway. James Hendrickson is charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, grand larceny, and robbery.

I-684 shuts down near Exit 2 on the northbound side and Exit 3 on the southbound side in Harrison after the crash, according to State Police. Police respond to a report of a plane crash on I-684 near Exit 2 in Harrison, Westchester County. The initial investigation determines there are two individuals on the plane, and one is confirmed dead, according to police. According to live air traffic controller audio and Flightradar24, the plane allegedly takes off from Linden, NJ, at 6:09 p.m. and heads north along the Hudson River when it suddenly drops at a rate of 1000 feet per minute, makes a hard right turn toward White Plains Airport, and then declares an emergency. The NTSB says a single-engine Tecnam P-2008 crashes near Westchester County Airport in White Plains, New York, around 7:15 p.m. after the pilot reports engine issues. The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board will investigate.
