7 March 2025
A scientist with her children wears stickers reading 'stand up for science'. In Toulouse, France, on March 7, 2025, more than 1,000 French researchers participate in the 'stand-up for science day' launched in the USA after Trump and Musk criticize scientists, science, researchers, and social sciences. In solidarity with their American colleagues, scientists worldwide take to the streets to raise awareness about the numerous attacks against science. Trump signs an executive order to remove numerous words from several US sites, including CDC and Education websites. Musk's DOGE (Department Of Government Efficiency) dismisses scientists from all science departments or agencies, including NOAA, CDC, and Education.
