Staff members are conducting on-site investigation and data collection at a beacon tower in the Xitun section of Han Great Wall in Zhangye, China, on June 27, 2024. In recent years, Shandan County, Zhangye City, Gansu Province, is using remote sensing surveying and mapping technology and UAV oblique photography technology to carry out three-dimensional reconstruction of Xiakou Ancient City site and other Great Wall sites, and is setting up digital protection measures such as control network and three-dimensional system of remote sensing data display.
