(L-R) French President Francois Hollande, Romanian President Traian Basescu and Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite attend a ceremony marking the centenary of the outbreak of World War I, in Ypres, Belgium on 26.06.2014 During the war, hundreds of thousands of soldiers and civilians from all over the world lost their lives around the Belgian town of Ypres. To mark the occasion, the European Union donated a symbolic bench with bronzed copper plates reading the word 'Peace' in the EU's 24 official languages. by Wiktor Dabkowski
