This includes 122,518 pilgrims arranged by the Hajj Committee of India and 52,507 pilgrims under the Combined Hajj Group Operators (CHGOs). Saudi Arabia increases the Indian quota by 10,000 to accommodate more pilgrims, following a request from the Indian government. Officials say that 3,622 pilgrims from Jammu and Kashmir perform the holiest Muslim pilgrimage of Hajj in Saudi Arabia.
