On May 28, 2026, at approximately 4:55 AM, police respond within the confines of the 72 Precinct and observe a 35-year-old male unconscious and unresponsive with stab wounds in the torso, and a 36-year-old male with a slashed wound to the face. EMS responds and transports the 35-year-old man to NYU Langone Hospital--Brooklyn where he is pronounced dead. The 36-year-old man is transported to NYU Langone Hospital Brooklyn in stable condition. No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing. Keys along with blood, a hat, a shirt, and other evidence are recovered from the scene. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending family notification.
