President of Nepal Bidhya Devi (L) and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli (R) attends Ghode Jatra or the 'Festival of Horse' celebrated at the Army Pavilion, Kathmandu, Nepal on Sunday, April 11, 2021. Ghode Jatra, meaning Horse Parade is organized at the Army Pavilion, Tundikhel every year. It is said Ghode Jatra was organized to celebrate the victory over a demon named Tundi who reside over the field known as Tundikhel.

According to myths it is said that Ghode Jatra is celebrated as triumph over demon that once was a horror in the city and by galloping horses the demon spirit stays under the ground.
