Tunisian farm women climb out of the back of a pick-up truck after a long day's work in the fields in Kairouan, Tunisia, on May 6, 2024. Many fatal road accidents involve women farmers working on Tunisian farms while being transported in large groups in dangerous and illegal conditions in the back of vans. Rural women are considered the most vulnerable group in Tunisian society, as they mainly work as unpaid laborers in family farming or as low-paid seasonal workers within an informal structure, without social security coverage.

Police vans are seen speeding in the direction of the Belarusian border near Szudzialowo, Poland on 13 November, 2021. This week Belarus sent over a thousand migrants, mainly from the Middle East to the border with Poland. The Polish government in turn has sent some 12 thousand troops to the border regiono to support the already heavily present border guards and police. Though Poland has been praised for protecing the EU border in what some call a hybrid war initiated by Belarus with the support of Russia, there has also been heavy critique for the treatment of migrants especially those who have been forcibly pushed-back. Over 13 thousand migrants have attempted too cross the border in October alone compared to just a few hundred in all of last year.
