Day Jessamine (Cestrum diurnum) is a small, evergreen shrub or tree that can grow up to 2.5 meters tall. The berries of the Cestrum diurnum plant are small, oval-shaped fruits that ripen from green to violet or blue-black and can be up to 7 mm long. Each berry contains 4-14 seeds and is dispersed by birds. The berries are poisonous to humans and other mammals. The plant has glossy, dark green leaves that are arranged alternately and can be 10-12 cm long.
