This Malay Deli culinary tradition is preserved since the era of the 9th Sultan of Deli, coinciding with the establishment of the mosque. As the sun sets, the Sultan joins the community for ngabuburit, serving this historic dish to those breaking their fast at the iconic Arabic-style mosque.
