According to data from the source of The Joint Organization of National Chicken Breeders in Indonesia (GOPAN), at least 70% of the laying hen farms on the Java island has been controlled by foreign investors who have big capital fund to develop the laying hen farms in Indonesia.The foreign investors are very interested in developing of the laying hen farms in Indonesia, especially in Java because of the level of consumption of eggs is very high. The Joint Organization of National Chicken Breeders (GOPAN) very hopeful the Indonesian Government to immediately issue a new policy regulations to manage the investors who come to Indonesia, so the breeders can more ready to compete in the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC).
