This heatwave is due to a phenomenon in omega where a drip of hot air is blocked by fresh air. This heatwave comes at the same time climate experts say limiting global warming to +1.5?C won't be achievable as agreed in 2015 during the COP21 in Paris. All of southern Europe bakes under unusually hot temperatures.
