Lepcha villagers cook a meat curry to feed the entire village from the meat of a sacrificed cow on an outdoor stove or chulla during an animal sacrifice ceremony to appease evil spirits in a small village deep in the jungle in Sikkim, India, on June 05, 2010. Many villagers have died without any aliments so the Lepcha villages have sent for a Bomthing (Lepha priest) to get rid of the evil spirits causing deaths in the village. This ceremony is said to protect the village for 180 years after it is preformed.
