Lieutenant General P.K. Mishra, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the White Knight Corps, inspects a guard of honour presented by newly recruited Indian army soldiers from the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JAKLI) during a passing-out parade at the JAKLI army headquarters in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, on May 30, 2026. A total of 538 young men from Kashmir, representing various religious backgrounds, are formally inducted into the Indian Army's Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry Regiment (JAKLI) after completing 24 weeks of military training. The recruits will now join various Indian Army units across the country, including deployments along the India-Pakistan border.
