The SAF (French Union of Lawyers) and the UJA (Union of Young Lawyers) called all its members to be on strike, to gather in front of courthouses and to ask for postponing hearings in protest against the reform planned by French Justice Minister Nicole Belloubet (closing of courts of first instance, creation of criminal courts without jurors which can serve up to 20 years in prison).
