A group of Nepali human rights activists hold placards and march towards the Prime Minister's Residence in Kathmandu, Nepal, on August 10, 2024. The human rights activists demand the deposition of Badshah Kurmi, a sitting minister in the Lumbini Province government who is accused of the murder of Nirmala Kurmi. Badshah, a Congress leader and Provincial Assembly member in Lumbini, is the prime accused in Nirmala Kurmi's disappearance and the capture of her property. Nirmala, a resident of Banke district, disappears mysteriously in 2010 and remains missing. The protesters demand Badshah's immediate removal as minister, the registration of a court case against him, and assurance of security for the protesters.
