Demonstrators hold placards featuring the portrait of the detained civil society activist and former Executive Director of NGO 'Terre d'Asile Tunisie', Sherifa Riahi, and those of other defendants, as well as a large banner reading ''Solidarity is not a crime'', during a demonstration organized outside the Court of First Instance in Tunis, Tunisia, on December 15, 2025. The rally brings together supporters, feminist activists, women's rights organizations, and civil society groups to show solidarity with the defendants, members of the NGO 'Terre d'Asile Tunisie', the Tunisian branch of the French NGO 'France Terre d'Asile', as they appear before the court for their first hearing. The advocate for migrant aid and refugee rights faces charges over allegations of forming an alliance to shelter irregular migrants and facilitating their stay. International human rights groups, including Amnesty International, condemn the charges as ''bogus'' and part of a trend criminalizing humanitarian aid in Tunisia. They demand the immediate release of Sherifa Riahi and the other defendants and for the charges to be dropped, citing the ''politically motivated nature of the case''.

30 November 2025
Women raise a placard featuring a portrait of imprisoned lawyer and president of the Free Destourian Party, Abir Moussi, with text in Arabic: ''Who is running the judiciary today?'' during a march organized by feminist groups, including the Tunisian Association of the Democratic Women (ATFD), in Tunis, Tunisia, on November 29, 2025. The demonstration brings together hundreds of human rights defenders, feminist activists, opposition parties, civil society members, and ordinary Tunisians, who denounce what protesters describe as a growing crackdown on freedoms, criminalization of civil society, and restrictions on public space imposed by Tunisian authorities. Participants also condemn the suspension of the activities of dozens of associations and organizations, as well as the rising gender-based violence. They show solidarity with opposition figures recently sentenced on appeal in the ''conspiracy against state security'' case.

Demonstrators with Palestinian scarves (keffiyeh) on their shoulders chant pro-Palestinian slogans while holding up Palestinian flags and a placard that reads in Arabic, ''We demand the criminalization of the normalization with Israel,'' during a national march organized by the Tunisian Order of Lawyers in Tunis, Tunisia, on April 09, 2025, to protest against the ongoing Israeli war on Gaza and to call for an end to the Israeli bombardment. The demonstrators express their support for the Palestinian people, the Al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas, and the Palestinian resistance. They denounce what they consider crimes of the Israeli occupation, the genocidal war, and the forced displacement of Palestinians from Gaza committed by Israel. They also condemn the international silence, as well as what they describe as American arrogance and the treason of the Arab regimes in the midst of the ongoing Israeli war on Gaza.
