The semi-humanoid robot Pepper, developed by SoftBank Robotics, interacts with visitors at MWC 2026. This latest iteration, sometimes referred to as Pepper+, is equipped with an upgraded AI agent and a higher-resolution 10.1-inch chest tablet. Known for its ability to recognize human emotions and engage in natural conversation, Pepper is showcased in various roles from hospital data intake assistant to retail brand ambassador. The robot's sleek white design, expressive LED eyes, and omnidirectional base allow it to navigate seamlessly through the crowded congress halls, demonstrating the integration of embodied AI in service industries during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain, on March 5, 2026.
