A feather from a Greater Coucal, also known as the crow pheasant or Bharadwaj bird (Centropus sinensis), is caught in a spider web in front of an abandoned house during sunrise in a forest in Tehatta, West Bengal, India, on February 20, 2026. It is situated at an average altitude of 600-700 meters and features undulating terrain, deciduous forests, and deep river valleys, and is part of the Eastern Ghats range. One of the primary rivers flowing is the Bandu River, which is a key, scenic water body in this rural, hilly region. Ipomoea carnea, or pink morning glory flowers, and Chromolaena odorata (Siam weed), bloom by the edge of the swamp at Sirkabad in Purulia, West Bengal, India, on January 11, 2026.
