Children crossing puddles due to flooding in Lere Village, Palu, Central Sulawesi Province, Indonesia on November 14, 2020. Apart from being caused by high tides, flooding that occurs for five days every month, is also caused by land subsidence as deep as 1.5 meters due to the 7.4 magnitude earthquake two years ago on the coast of Palu Bay. The earthquake that triggered the tsunami and the liquefaction killed more than 5,000 residents.
