To celebrate the Magna Carta's 800th anniversary year a master baker has created a full sized cake replica of the famous document. The historic cake was created by Christine Jensen and has gone on display at Salisbury Cathedral in Wiltshire. It took Christine a total of 94 hours to create, with 22 of those spent handwriting the 4,000 Latin words. In order to produce the lettering she had to cut down the nib of an edible ink pen. Her work also includes the frame and the base, which features an edible version of Frank Wood's painting of King John sealing the Magna Carta at Runnymede. The cake won 'Best in Class' and a gold award at Cake International Manchester.
