As many as 140,000 people were displaced outside of the disaster-prone zone, although some people saved their livestock or tended their plantation areas even though they were inside the danger zone when the Agung volcano back to erupted in October 2017. Based on geological history, it is known that the Agung volcano erupted in 1963 which resulted in more than 1,400 people being killed by an explosive eruption.
