Two girls wear costumes from indigenous communities at the Ex Convento de Culhuacan in the Iztapalapa district of Mexico City, on the occasion of Corpus Christi Thursday, better known as the Day of the Mules. Corpus Christi Day, which dates back to 13th century Belgium, is celebrated 60 days after Easter Sunday with the aim of proclaiming and increasing faith in Jesus Christ, which is found in the Blessed Sacrament, according to the Catholic Church.
