On August 18, 2025, the Mexican Red Cross offers humanitarian aid to thousands of families affected by floods in Poza Rica, Veracruz, and delivers aid packages to them. The national president of the Mexican Red Cross, Carlos Freaner Figueroa, visits the municipalities of Poza Rica and Alamo in the state of Veracruz to express his solidarity with the families affected by the recent floods and to oversee the delivery of more than 76 tons of humanitarian aid, including mattresses, food supplies, personal hygiene items, and baby kits.
