In Warsaw, Poland, on December 19, Wlodzimierz Czarzasty, Speaker of the Sejm and leader of the New Left, meets with Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine, at the Sejm as part of the Ukrainian President's visit to Poland. During the visit, President Zelensky meets for the first time with Karol Nawrocki, President of Poland, at his invitation. The Ukrainian president then visits the Polish parliament to meet with the Speakers of the Sejm and the Senate, where he also lays flowers at a memorial plaque commemorating members of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland who were killed during World War II. The visit concludes with a meeting with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

Rajya Sabha is the upper house of the Indian bicameral parliament, Sansad, and its members are elected every six years by the legislators. The Rajya Sabha elections are the first such polls held in Jammu and Kashmir following the August 5, 2025, abrogation of Article 370 and Article 35 A of the Indian constitution that accorded a semi-autonomous character to Jammu and Kashmir. The ruling National Conference wins 3 out of 4 seats while the Bharatiya Janata Party wins a single seat.
