An interdisciplinary team led by the University of Granada (UGR) works in the excavation of mass graves in the Barranco de Viznar where they have located the first human remains of victims of the Spanish civil war and dictate regime of Francisco Franco dated between 1936 and 1939. Many analysts and experts on the subject think that the famous poet Federico Garcia Lorca could be murdered near this area.
