Students majoring in Falak science are observing the changing phases of the moon's shape from the reflection of sunlight (Hilal) to ensure the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan 1445 Hijriah at the observatory of the Muhammadiyah University of North Sumatra (UMSU) in Medan, North Sumatra Province, Indonesia, on March 10, 2024. The Indonesian Ministry of Religion has announced the results of the isbat session, determining that 1 Ramadan 1445 H will fall on Tuesday, March 12, 2024.
