The Teesta Low Dam Project - IV (TLDP-IV) hydroelectric power station is located on the Teesta River in Kalijhora, West Bengal, India, on April 15, 2026. It is a run-of-the-river hydroelectric scheme operated by NHPC Limited (National Hydroelectric Power Corporation Limited) with a total installed capacity of 160 MW (4 units of 40 MW each). The project, commissioned in 2016, features a concrete gravity dam and is designed to harness the power of the river for electricity generation. The area has been affected by past glacial lake outburst floods (GLOFs) and flash floods, which have damaged nearby projects such as Teesta-III and Teesta-V.
