Amid the global climate crisis and the nation's recovery following the Tropical Cyclone Senyar disaster, a married couple, RI Djaya Lubis and Sulityaning Diah, nurture food-security plants in their yard at USU Residence III BA/10, Patumbak Satu, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra, Indonesia, on February 22, 2026. As recipients of the Indonesian government's subsidized housing program under the Ministry of PKP (Housing and Residential Areas) through the policy of President Prabowo Subianto, they utilize their limited land for micro-mitigation efforts to reduce extreme heat and manage excess rainwater. This activity, carried out while observing the fast during the holy month of Ramadan 1447 Hijriah, reflects a quality and inclusive housing ecosystem. Supported by financing from Bank BTN, the community not only gains access to adequate shelter but also the foundation to innovate for climate resilience and food security, ensuring a sustainable environment for future generations.
