Boys are cooling themselves off on a hot summer day on the outskirts of Srinagar, Kashmir, on July 08, 2024. According to the weather department, the maximum temperature is recorded at 35.7 degrees Celsius in Srinagar on July 04, much higher than the past record of 35.5 degrees Celsius in 2006. The weather department adds that Srinagar recorded the highest maximum temperature of 38.3 degrees Celsius in 1946.
