The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission, better known as CySEC, is the financial regulatory agency of Cyprus. As an EU member state, CySEC's financial regulations and operations comply with the European MiFID financial harmonization law. A week ago, the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) suspended the FTX.com crypto exchange's CIF license, which had allowed the insolvent platform to operate across Europe for the past few months.
