Constantinos Yiorkadjis, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, and Nikos Christodoulides are posing in front of a barricade in Nicosia, Cyprus, on February 12, 2024. The President of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, is being guided by the President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, and the Mayor of Nicosia, Constantinos Yiorkadjis, to the old city of Nicosia. Here, the barricades that separate the Greek and Turkish sides of the city, also known as the ''Green Line,'' are visible. Nicosia remains the last divided European capital.
