Isaac Herzog, President of Israel, participates in the March of the Living at Auschwitz in Oswiecim, Poland, on April 24, 2025. The March of the Living has been organized in Oswiecim since 1988. On the 37th anniversary of the first event, people from all over the world participate. Participants march through the so-called Road of Death, the route between the former Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II-Birkenau camps. The march is led by 80 Holocaust survivors and survivors of the Hamas attack on October 7.

Holocaust survivors talk to young participants attending the 36th anniversary of 'International March of the Living' at the former Nazi-German Auschwitz Birkenau concentration and extermination camp in Oswiecim, Poland on May 6th, 2024. The annual march is a part of educational program, which brings Jewish students from around the world to Poland, where they explore the remnants of the Holocaust. Participants march silently three kilometers from Auschwitz I to Auschwitz II Birkenau, the largest Nazi concentration camp complex built during World War II.

EDMONTON, CANADA - APRIL 7: Members of the Memory Keepers Association, comprised of survivors of the Rwandan genocide along with their families and supporters, unite at Churchill Square for a solemn commemorative rally. Together, they mark the 30th anniversary of the Tutsi genocide in Rwanda, honoring its victims with reverence and solidarity, on April 7, 2024, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The 1994 Rwandan genocide saw mass killings of Tutsis by armed Hutu militias. Despite global shock, there was no intervention.

The Global Shapers Community is an initiative of the World Economic Forum with a membership of dynamic young people ages 22-33 committed to positively impacting their communities through local outreach projects. The lagos Hub has carried out various projects in the areas of education, climate action, environmental sustainability, entrepreneurship, innovation and gender equality and directly helped thousands of low-income families across the state.
