Farmers slice tobacco leaves to be dried in Banyuresmi Village, Sumedang Regency, West Java, Indonesia, on June 11, 2025. Erratic weather due to climate change prolongs the drying process of tobacco, affecting the quality and causing the price of tobacco in Sumedang to drop from Rp80,000-Rp100,000 per kilogram in April 2025 to Rp20,000-Rp50,000 per kilogram, depending on the quality.
