A 28-year-old man identified as Marji Daoud is fatally shot in the head, and a 33-year-old woman is injured in a shooting at 2690 University Avenue in Kingsbridge Heights, Bronx, New York, United States, on April 23, 2025. On Wednesday, at approximately 4:57 PM, police respond to a 911 call of an assault in progress at 2690 University Avenue in the Kingsbridge Heights neighborhood of Bronx, New York. Upon arrival, officers observe a 28-year-old man identified as Marji Daoud with a gunshot wound to his head. EMS responds and transports Daoud to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he is pronounced dead. Additionally, police are alerted to a second victim, a 33-year-old woman, who is transported by private means to NYC Health and Hospitals/Woodhull with a gunshot wound to the left hip, and at this time, she is listed in stable condition. There are no arrests at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing by the NYPD. Investigators with the Crime Scene Unit mark several shell casings at the crime scene and collect evidence following the shooting.
