Sunita Choudhary - North India's first auto-rickshaw driver - shows the multiple awards and recognitions achieved by her over the years. She is often invited for events celebrating women empowerment and gender equality. She arrived in Delhi broke and injured with no place to call home. She remembers the days when she had to sleep in her auto-rickshaw and change her clothes in public toilets. Sunita Choudhary - North India's first woman auto-rickshaw has been driving the streets of Delhi since 2004, after facing major difficulties to make a mark for herself in the male-dominated profession. With bureaucratic troubles in attaining a commercial auto-rickshaw driver's license, her journey entails of hardships of child marriage, physical abuse by her husband and in-laws, sexual harrasment and hostility from her male colleagues. In her struggle in the male-dominated profession, she says, "I had no other option but to fight back."
