According to Head of the Disease Prevention and Control Division of the DKI Jakarta Health Service (Dinkes), initially there was a local resident who tested positive for COVID-19. Based on temporary observations, the patient is a suspect for the Omicron variant. Then, the Health Office carried out contact tracing or tracing and testing for COVID-19 for Krukut residents who lived close to the patient.The results of tracing and testing, found 35 other residents who were positive for COVID-19. The Health Office also examined WGS on the specimens of these dozens of residents to detect Omicron.
