As Greece is facing a very good touristic season, the traffic results are shown also in the statistics of Athens airport, given by the HCAA (Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority) as passenger numbers are raising, aiming for the highest passenger traffic of all time with an estimation for more than twenty million passengers per year (20.000.000). In numbers for the first 7 months of 2017 (January-July) 11.965.443 passengers traveled from Athens, insted of 11.059.256 in 2016, showing an increase of + 8,2%
