It lies close to the northwestern boundary of the province and is bounded by the Salween River on the west and the Mekong on the east. The highest peak is Kawagebo, which rises to 6,740 metres (22,110 ft). Kawagebo is considered sacred for Tibetan Buddhists. Dequen, Chine, le 18 decembre 2011. Une vue des monts Meili Xue shan, litteralement « mont enneigee Meili ». Il s agit d un massif montagneux culminant à 6 740 metres d'altitude et faisant partie des monts Hengduan, a la jonction entre le xian de Deqen dans la prefecture autonome tibetaine de Dêqên, province du Yunnan.
